Your Voice

By Michael Geer
I would say there are two sources of continuously updated information available to an internist - 'Up to Date' and PIER. I have used both. Each has its benefits but PIER is faster when I am looking for specific information. Up to Date is TMI (too much information) for your immidiate needs. I am sold on PIER's 'drill down' approach- it gives you topic headings and you choose where you want to go with it. With each new choice, you have another list of topic headings (instead of paragraphs to scan over) until you get to the FEW sentences that answer your question. It is worth it. I have used it for 4-5 years and resubscribe every time.
