I am an undergraduate medical student and I'm these days taking my clinical training in hospitals. I've been using Skyscape's wonderful application; Stedman's Medical Dictionary (28th edition) for a long time, and honestly, it has been helping me a lot in my daily medical life.

One day, a couple of weeks ago, I was talking with a patient in the cardiovascular section as a part of my clinical training. I checked his blood pressure, pulse, heart beats, etc, then I put the diagnosis down on paper. That would have been a normal encounter with a patient until he called me and asked for discussion. Generally speaking, he was very knowledgeable. He had a lot of information on medicine. He talked with me about hypertension and the risks of hypercholestrolemia.

In order to give more depth to the discussion, I took out my PDA and got into Skyscape's Med Dictionary. The man liked the idea of having huge amounts of info in one's pocket. We browsed together the definitions of hypertension and cholesterol. We used the "SEE" icon a lot which redirected us to related topics. When he needed to read about a previous topic, I used the 'HISTORY" button. All in all, it was an interesting discussion. The man was excited and told me that he felt more secure and unworried when he knew his supervisor (me) is that knowledgeable. So, I must say I love Skyscape!
