The eMedicine Pediatrics PDA version is an identical copy of the chapters offered on their popular website. Skyscape has taken the content and delivered a much more useable product. As it may seem just from the number of chapters and the subheadings for each topic within the chapters. This is an amazingly robust resource. Imagine the full content of the pediatrics section of eMedicine on your handheld (which is exactly what this is) and you can begin to see its power. As on the website, there are also helpful websites that can be helpful for your patients on each topic.

One very helpful addition to the Skyscape version is the listing of medications in the index. Tapping on the medication name will either take you to the associated topic or present a list of associated topics that the medications are used for treatment. While the info on each medication is not as robust as the individual topics it is disease specific and certainly helpful enough. It is so complete that you will eventually find your target. Other than this snag it is very easy navigation and much improved over the MobiPocket version. This is the most robust pediatric resource available and worth the price.

The bottom line is that this is a great resource competitively priced and easy to use. It is as complete a pediatric reference available for the handheld today.
