Control who can find, see or contact you

Decide who can find you, see you online, see your location or reach you.

Turn on Prevent Discovery and you won't show up when people search for users to add to their Circle.

Start here

iPhone

  1. On the Home screen, tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn Prevent Discovery on or off.

Android

  1. On the Home screen, tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn Prevent Discovery on or off.

Web

  1. On the Home screen Dashboard, click ☰.
  2. Click the Manage Profile icon.
  3. Turn Non-Discoverable on or off.

Hide when you're online

iPhone

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn Show Online on or off.

Android

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn Show Online on or off.

Web

  1. On the Home screen Dashboard, click ☰.
  2. Click the Manage Profile icon.
  3. Turn Online Indicator on or off.

Stop sharing your location

iPhone

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Turn on Do not mark my location.

Android

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Turn on Do not mark my location.

Web

  1. On the Home screen Dashboard, click the Settings icon in the upper right, or open the Global Menu and search Buzz Settings.
  2. Turn on Do Not Mark My Location.

Block a sender or phone number

On the web

  1. On the Home screen Dashboard, click ☰.
  2. Click the Manage Profile icon.
  3. Scroll down to Preferences.
  4. Click Manage next to Blocked senders (secure email) & blocked numbers (phone).

See and manage blocked users

iPhone

  1. On the Home screen, tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Tap Blocked Users.

Android

  1. On the Home screen, tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Tap Blocked Users.
  • Turning off Show Online doesn't limit what you can do in Buzz. Others just won't see when you're active.
  • With Do not mark my location on, Buzz won't attach or share your location.
  • Blocking stops unwanted senders from reaching you by text, email or phone.
