Mute notifications for one chat

Quiet a busy chat without missing alerts from everything else.

Turn off push notifications for a single chat, or for all chats at once.

Start here

iPhone

  1. Open the chat.
  2. Tap the person's name or group name at the top.
  3. Turn on Disable Push Notifications.

Android

  1. Open the chat.
  2. Tap the person's name or group name at the top.
  3. Turn on Disable Push Notifications.

Web

  1. Open the chat.
  2. Click the person's name or group name at the top.
  3. Click User Profile or Group Profile & Members.
  4. Click the Settings icon on the right.
  5. Turn on Disable Push Notifications.

Turn off notifications for all chats

iPhone

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn off Notifications for all chats.

Android

  1. Tap the ☰ Burger Menu.
  2. Tap Manage Profile.
  3. Turn off Notifications for all chats.

Web

  1. On the Home screen Dashboard, click ☰.
  2. Click the Manage Profile icon.
  3. Turn off Push Notifications.
  • Turn the same setting off again to get notifications for that chat back.
