Practice-wide caller ID
Optometrists, nurses, therapists and front-desk coordinators get the same virtual caller ID the physicians get.
Buzz · Reach
Every member of your clinical and office staff can place patient calls from the phone already in their pocket, with the practice's own number on the patient's handset and their personal number kept private.
A number the patient recognizes, so the call gets answered.
The problem
Staff who do not want their personal number on a patient's phone have two options today: stay late at a desk phone, or go back to the office for the one call they forgot. Both of them cost an evening.
How it works
Buzz gives a user their own phone number and lets the practice add caller IDs on top of it, so one person can call as whichever location they are working from that day.
Choose which office number to display as your outgoing caller ID. A provider who covers more than one location chooses which clinic number each call shows.
Tap to call the patient, a family member or another office. Calls reach landlines and mobiles alike, so the person on the other end needs no app and no account.
Call duration and timestamp post to the patient's care thread, so the rest of the team can see that the call happened without asking who made it.
Try it
Pick a branch on the left and watch the simulated patient handset in the hero, and the care thread below, change with it. Kestrel Hollow is a demonstration practice and every number here is made up.
Illustration only. Switching a caller ID in the product is an administrator-governed setting, not a free choice of any number.

Where practices use it
Optometrists, nurses, therapists and front-desk coordinators get the same virtual caller ID the physicians get.
A post-op follow-up can be made on the drive home or after leaving the clinic early, without a desk phone and without handing out a personal number.
Calls go to and come from landline and mobile numbers, so an older patient with a home phone is reachable without installing anything or creating an account.
“We ask staff to call all surgery patients the same day, post-op, to see how they’re doing. With the caller ID function, staff can call the patients on their way home, rather than sitting at the office. They can also leave early and then do it from home as they choose. Ultimately, with this new tool, all the calls get made, and our staff has more time to themselves.”
Safety and data
Calls come in as well as go out. Every Buzz user has a phone number to make and receive calls, and BuzzPhone supports voicemail and call recording. Voicemail and recording details come into a one-to-one Calls Channel in Buzz, so the team finds them there instead of on a personal phone. When recording is on for the organization, recordings are kept permanently in the Calls Channel, the same as messages.

Getting started
Give five people the practice's caller ID and watch two things: whether the answer rate moves, and whether the evening calls stop coming back to the office.
No. BuzzPhone calls a standard mobile phone or a home landline. The patient answers the way they always do, and sees the practice's number.
The whole care team. Unlike physician-only tools, BuzzPhone gives the clinic caller ID to physicians, optometrists, nurses, therapists, care coordinators and front-desk schedulers alike.
Yes. A provider working across several offices chooses which clinic number a call shows, and Buzz supports more than one caller ID for a user.
A Buzz user gets their own Buzz phone number to make and receive calls, and the practice can add caller IDs such as a clinic or hospital number on top of it.
Buzz runs on iOS, Android and in a browser, and a user's information stays in sync across their devices.
Yes. Your existing clinic numbers can be brought over to Buzz, so patients keep calling the number they already know.
Agency staff place and receive calls with the patient's landline from inside Buzz, and there is nothing for the patient to install. A family member on a plain phone line can also be added to a BuzzVideo visit.
Per user, per month, at about the price of a venti latte at the airport. Book a demo and we will put a number against your headcount on the call.
Start small
The quickest test is the one your schedulers will notice first: whether patients start picking up. Book a short call and we will set it up with a handful of your staff.
