The consent is signed before you leave the house

BuzzFlow is the document side of Buzz. Fill, sign and file a consent, an order or an intake form inside the patient's care thread, on the visit, on the device already in your hand.

No clipboard to lose. No printer to find. No scanner at the end of the day. The patient signs on your tablet at the bedside, or taps a secure link on their own phone, and the signed document lands in the thread the whole care team is already reading.

Pick the form, inside the patient's thread

The forms your agency uses are already in Buzz. Choose one and it attaches to this patient's care thread, not to an inbox somewhere else.

Sign at the bedside, or from the patient's own phone

Two routes to the same signature. Pick one, then sign in the box with a finger, a stylus or a mouse.

Nothing you draw here is sent anywhere. This is a local demonstration that runs in your browser and is discarded when you leave the page.

It files itself, where the team already looks

The signed document attaches to the patient's thread as a completed document, with the time it was signed and who signed it. Nobody scans anything.

KHAlvarez, Ruth · 1947-03-02Care thread · 9 members
Consent to treat · signedSigned on this visit

Completed in BuzzFlow · signer and timestamp recorded on the document

The signed copy sits in the patient's thread beside the conversation about the visit, so the next clinician who opens it finds the document there. Connecting Buzz to your EHR runs through BuzzStreams, and we cover it on the demo.

Kestrel Hollow is a demonstration agency and the patient is invented. Nothing drawn in the signature box leaves your browser.

The problem

Paper consents delay care, waste nurse hours and get lost in transit.

Field clinicians print, carry, chase and scan. An intake consent waits on a clipboard in the back of a car. A plan-of-care order sits unsigned while billing waits on it. A missed-visit form goes in a bag and is remembered on Friday.

None of it is clinical work, and all of it is time taken from a caseload that is already full. When a surveyor asks for the signed copy, somebody starts opening binders.

20%improvement in staff satisfaction after the paper went away — reported by a behavioral health provider
“Buzz has helped reduce time spent on other administrative tasks like getting documents electronically signed by our providers and notifying providers of critical patient labs and conditions. This on average saves our nursing department staff over 10 hours a week collectively which contributes to an increase in staff satisfaction by 20%.”

How it works

Attach. Sign. Filed.

Three steps, all of them inside the conversation your care team is already having about this patient.

1 · Attach

Choose the form in the thread

Pick a consent, an intake form or any PDF your agency uses and attach it to the patient's Buzz thread. The document editor is built into Buzz, so there is no second tool to open.

2 · Sign

On your screen, or on theirs

The patient signs on your tablet during the visit, or taps a secure link sent to their own phone. Patients and family members do not download an app or create an account to sign.

3 · Filed

Into the thread, not into a bag

The signed document attaches to the patient's thread with the signer and the time recorded on it, and stays in the agency's file storage where a reviewer can find it later.

What agencies use it for

The paperwork that actually holds up a visit

Intake

Signed before the nurse arrives

An intake coordinator sends the consent packet ahead of the first visit as a secure link. The patient or the adult child who handles the paperwork signs it at the kitchen table the night before, and the clinician walks in to a visit instead of a clipboard.

Orders

The order that stalls the billing cycle

Plan-of-care orders and authorizations go out for signature from the same thread the care team uses, and come back to it. The document does not travel through anyone's personal email.

In the field

No download for the person signing

Patients and family members sign in their own mobile browser. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no password to reset — which matters most for the households least likely to get through an app store.

Reusable

Your forms, not a generic template

Fill in, annotate and sign the forms your agency already uses, in the document editor built into Buzz, right inside the patient's care thread. No printing and no scanning.

One platform

One less subscription

Signing lives inside Buzz alongside the messaging, the calls and the files, so an agency is not paying for and training on a separate signature product next to the one its clinicians already carry.

Setup

What it takes to turn on

Nothing to install for the people signing, so the work is your own forms. Bring the PDFs your agency uses today and we walk them through BuzzFlow on the demo.

Safety and privacy

A signature is a record. It is treated like one.

BuzzFlow sits inside Buzz and inherits the platform's posture.

Getting started

Start with the three forms your staff hate most.

Your three heaviest paper forms become documents your clinicians can send, sign and file from the visit. Everything else stays exactly as it is, and you can see for yourself how many of the three come back signed the same day.

  • FormsThree of your own, chosen by the people who chase them.
  • PeopleA handful of field clinicians and whoever handles intake.
  • PatientsReal consents on real visits. No test data needed.
  • TermsMonthly, quarterly or annual, whichever suits the way your agency budgets. You are never locked in against your will, and the notice period is 60 days.

Questions agencies ask

Does the patient have to download anything?

No. The patient or family member taps the secure link and signs in the browser already on their phone. There is no app to install and no account to create.

Can a patient sign before the clinician arrives?

Yes. An intake coordinator can send the signature request ahead of the first visit, so the packet is done before anyone drives out.

Do we still need a separate signature product?

Signing is built into Buzz alongside messaging, documents and file storage, so for the forms that move through Buzz there is nothing else to buy or train on.

What happens to the signed document?

It attaches to the patient's Buzz thread as a completed document and stays in your organization's file storage, with the signer and the time recorded on it.

Does it write back to our EHR?

The signed document lives in the patient's Buzz thread. EHR connection is handled through BuzzStreams, and we show what that looks like for your system on the demo.

Is an electronic signature acceptable for our consents?

Agencies differ on which documents they accept electronically, and that decision sits with your compliance lead. What BuzzFlow gives you is the record: the document, the signature, the signer and the time it was signed, kept together.

What about forms we do not have as templates yet?

Any PDF your agency already uses can be attached to a thread and sent for signature.

Can two people sign the same document?

Orders that need a physician's signature go out for signature from the same care thread as the patient's consent and come back to it, with the signer and the time recorded.
