The file is only useful where the decision happened

BuzzDrive is the document surface of Buzz. Built-in file storage for your organization's documents and forms, with care plans, reports and signed paperwork kept connected to the conversation they belong to.

"Signed copy is back from the family. I will pick up the order on Thursday's visit."

The document, the person, the moment and the decision, in one place.

The problem

A document in a folder is a document without a story.

The signed consent is in a shared drive. The wound photo is in someone's camera roll. The plan of care is an email attachment from March. Each one is findable, eventually, and none of them carries the thing a reviewer actually needs: who sent it, who read it, and what the team decided because of it.

Separate file storage and lost message history are the same failure arriving from two directions.

What this replaces
  • A separate file store that knows nothing about the patient
  • Message history that ends when the thread scrolls
  • Photos and forms that live on a phone instead of with the patient

How it works

It arrives, it stays, it is still there later.

1 · Arrives

In the group, not as an attachment

A form is completed, a consent is signed, a report is shared. Signed documents archive straight to the patient's thread rather than being filed somewhere afterward.

2 · Stays

Connected to the conversation

Care plans, reports and files stay with the thread they were shared in, alongside the messages that explain them.

3 · Still there

For whoever picks the patient up

A clinician added to the group later gets the previous messages, documents and clinical discussion, instead of starting from an empty screen.

Features and use cases

Storage, care plans and forms, inside the platform.

Organization

Built-in file storage

Storage for the organization's own documents and forms, inside the platform rather than alongside it.

Hospice

Care plans where the team is

Care plans and documents are shared securely with the people on the case, in the group that already holds the case.

Less duplication

One place for editing and sharing

Document editing, secure file storage and form sharing sit together, so the same paperwork is not re-created in three systems.

Finding a document

Search the archive by keyword, date or sender, and narrow a group's files to photos, PDFs or signed forms.

Versions

Organization forms and guidelines live in one place, so the team works from the same copy instead of one saved from an old email.

Size and limits

A single file can be up to 100 MB, and each user's capacity is generous enough for an organization to keep a large repository of documents. Where you need larger files or more capacity, Skyscape can make an exception.

Organizing

Files stay with the group they were shared in, next to the messages that explain them. Organization documents and forms sit in BuzzDrive's built-in storage.

Getting it out

A document or note stays in the patient's thread. EHR connection runs through BuzzStreams, and the demo covers how it fits your setup.

Safety and privacy

Documents are the part an auditor asks for first.

When someone leaves

A member who leaves the organization can no longer view its messages.

Retention

Messages and the documents shared in them are kept permanently and do not expire.

Deletion and legal hold

Buzz does not purge or delete Drive files on its own. The organization's admin decides how files are handled.

Start small

Start with the document you lose most often.

Pick the one form your team hunts for — the signed consent, the plan of care, the authorization — and run it through the patient's group for a few weeks instead of the shared drive.

Terms are monthly, quarterly or annual, whichever suits the way your agency budgets. You are never locked in against your will, and the notice period is 60 days.

Questions agencies ask

If a clinician joins a case late, do they see the documents?

Yes. A clinician added to the group gets access to the previous messages, documents and clinical discussion.

What happens when a staff member leaves?

A member who leaves the organization can no longer view the organization's messages.

Will you sign a BAA?

Yes. A business associate agreement is offered, handled by the Skyscape sales team.

How much storage do we get, and what file types?

BuzzDrive is built-in file storage for your organization's documents and forms, and documents, images and videos shared through Buzz are encrypted in transit and at rest. The demo walks through storage and file types for your organization.

How do we find a document six months later?

Search the archive by keyword, date or sender. Messages and the documents shared in them are kept permanently, so a document from six months ago is still there with the conversation around it.

Do documents reach our EHR?

EHR integration runs through BuzzStreams. In BuzzDrive, the document lives in the patient's thread, and the demo covers how the EHR connection works for your setup.

What do we have to do to turn it on?

BuzzDrive is built into Buzz, so it sits in the same place as your groups and messages. Book a demo and we will walk through setup for your organization.

BuzzDrive is part of Buzz, the clinical communication platform from Skyscape. It is where the output of BuzzFlow and BuzzScribe lands, beside the thread in BuzzChat.
