AI phone agent for hospice and home health

Phone calls your care team can act on

BuzzVoice checks in with patients and families between visits and answers your agency's phone lines. Every call ends as a card in a Buzz group, the secure workspace where your care team coordinates each patient.

Call. Card. Coordination.

BuzzVoice holds a natural conversation, guided by your template, the person's name and the reason for the call. What it hears becomes a card in the right Buzz group, where your team takes it from there.

1 · Call

A conversation, not a phone tree

BuzzVoice knows who it is calling and why, asks the template's questions in its own words, and follows up when an answer needs it. Every clinical call opens by saying it is an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded.

2 · Card

What it heard, in their words

The card holds the person's own words, a severity and a suggested recipient, or a plain outcome such as voicemail or wrong number.

3 · Coordination

Your team picks it up

The card is posted to the patient's Buzz group, where the care team already works. Anything urgent also reaches your on-call team at once as a Buzz STAT message.

How it soundsDay 2 after hospital · example conversation, made-up details

BuzzVoiceHi, before we begin, I'm an automated AI assistant calling on behalf of your care team, and this call may be recorded for quality and safety. Mr. Alvarez, I'm checking in after your hospital stay. Were you able to pick up all of your new prescriptions?

PatientMost of them. The inhaler was a lot more than I expected, so I left it.

BuzzVoiceThanks for telling me, that happens more than you'd think. I'll make sure your nurse knows about the inhaler so someone can follow up with you. Do you have a doctor visit booked since you got home?

PatientThursday. My daughter's driving me.

BuzzVoiceGood, Thursday with your daughter. And has anything felt worse since you got home, or anything new started?

On the card: prescription not picked up because of cost, flagged to the nurse. Doctor visit Thursday, transport arranged.

Outbound check-ins

Three check-ins agencies start with

A care team member starts a check-in from the patient's Buzz group. Each template sets what BuzzVoice asks; it never tells anyone what to do about their care.

Hospice · evening check-in

Before the 2 AM call

  • How comfortable the patient seems today, including signs of pain such as wincing or moaning, hard breathing or restlessness
  • Whether the family has the hospice number handy and knows they can call any time
  • Whether comfort medicines and equipment have arrived
Home health · day 2 after hospital

The first days home

  • Whether all new prescriptions were picked up
  • Whether they understand which medicines to take now and which to stop, as their discharge instructions say
  • Whether a doctor visit is booked, and how they will get there
  • Whether anything feels worse, or anything new has started

A prescription not picked up for any reason, including cost, is flagged to the nurse.

Home health · visit confirmation

No wasted trips

  • Whether the visit date still works, and if not, which days and times would
  • Whether someone will be home to let the clinician in, with notes on parking, stairs, pets or which door to use

It never asks for door or gate codes.

These come from a library of 56 call templates across six care settings. Your team can change a template or write its own.

Scheduled check-ins

Set it once. The team hears back.

Schedule a call for later, or daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly until an end date, inside the call window your agency sets. Pause, resume or cancel from the group. Every scheduled call still opens with the AI disclosure.

A number for every purpose

Give each number a job, such as after-hours intake or scheduling. BuzzVoice answers in that role and posts every call to the Buzz coordination group you choose. A new line is live as soon as its number is assigned.

What a caller hears on the scheduling line Hi, you've reached the scheduling line. I'm an automated assistant, and this call may be recorded. I'll take the details, and the scheduling coordinator will call you back.
Safety and data

It takes the details. Your clinicians make the calls.

BuzzVoice asks, listens and records. Clinical judgment stays with your team.

On the call

No clinical advice

The platform blocks diagnosis, medication guidance and predictions, whatever a template says.

Disclosure can't be removed

Every clinical call opens with an AI and recording disclosure that no template author can take out.

Urgent goes to your on-call team

An urgent call reaches the team as a Buzz STAT message. You choose who is alerted: by urgency, by call type, or per template.

Emergency routing by setting

Callers are told to call 911 for a life-threatening emergency. In hospice and palliative care, a death that is expected is routed to the hospice nurse instead of 911.

Your data

The call

Calls that carry patient information are processed on a model path covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement. Call content is kept out of our logs by default.

The card

The card lands in a Buzz group, encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your controls

Who places calls

Set per group: admins only, admins and managers, or all members.

Your number

Outbound calls show your agency's own number as caller ID.

Your templates

Skyscape curates a short list for your agency. Each care group picks from it.

Start small

Start with one group and one number

A pilot needs one Buzz group, one phone number, two templates and a nurse who backs up the calls. No EHR connection is needed to start.

Prefer to talk it through by phone? Call the Skyscape sales demo line, (757) 793-2899. BuzzVoice answers for Skyscape, asks your name and agency, plays you a sample patient check-in, and passes your details to our team so they can follow up.

Questions agencies ask

Is it a nurse?

No. BuzzVoice is an automated assistant and says so at the start of every clinical call. It takes the details and passes them to your care team.

We don't use Buzz yet. Can we still use BuzzVoice?

BuzzVoice works inside Buzz, because Buzz groups are where its cards land. Agencies new to Buzz start with a Buzz group for the pilot, and the scoping call covers setup.

Do we need our EHR connected?

No. The Buzz group is the record, so you can start without any integration.

Can our care team change the scripts?

Yes. You can change a template or write your own. The disclosure and the no-advice rules stay locked.

What if someone says something urgent at 2 a.m.?

Your on-call team is alerted at once with a Buzz STAT message, and the caller is told who will call back.

Can we schedule check-ins ahead?

Yes. Schedule a single call or a repeating one, daily to monthly with an end date, inside your agency's call window. Pause, resume or cancel from the group.

What if it can't reach someone?

You still get a card, with a plain outcome: reached, voicemail, wrong number or time limit.

Does a call complete HOPE or OASIS?

No. A call never creates or satisfies a HOPE or OASIS record.

Is it a CAHPS survey?

No. Satisfaction templates are internal check-ins for your agency, not HHCAHPS or Hospice CAHPS.

Which calls does it never make?

Sales calls. BuzzVoice never makes automated calls to prospects.
