To successfully install the product on your PDA, you need to

1. Install the product on your desktop
2. Install the product on your handheld
3. Activate the product

These steps are identified below.

NOTE: During installation on the desktop if you maintain an active Internet connection AND your handheld is in its cradle and connected to the desktop, the product is automatically downloaded to the handheld and also activated. If this is not feasible, you have to manually activate the product after you install it on your handheld.

Please complete the following steps:

1. Install the product on your desktop computer

1. Locate the .exe file that you downloaded onto your desktop computer.
2. Double click on the .exe file.
3. A wizard will guide you through the process. When prompted, enter the Skyscape product serial number listed in your Order Receipt.

   NOTE: If your handheld device is connected to your desktop, you will automatically be taken to Step 2 c. Otherwise, you can repeat steps 1a, 1b, and 1c to install more than one product.

2. Install the product on your handheld

1. Connect the handheld device to the desktop.
2. Start ActiveSync.
3. A Skyscape window will appear on the desktop screen indicating that the product is ready for installation. Click the button labeled "Yes."

   NOTE: The unzip utility initially requires more memory than the installed product. Once the product is extracted the additional memory is freed up.

   NOTE: To install the product to a memory expansion card, click the button labeled "No" at the prompt "Install Skyscape <application name> and other pending installations to the default directory." You will then be given the opportunity to select the expansion card.

3. Activate the product - Manual Registration

NOTE: You need to perform this step only if you were not connected to the internet during installation or if you have a trial version of the product and wish to unlock it.

1. Click here to register your product.

4. Exit the product

If you open a Skyscape product on the handheld, you need to exit the product you opened before installing another Skyscape product.

1. To exit the product on the device go to Start | Settings | Memory | Running Programs | Stop any Skyscape Titles or Stop All.

   NOTE: Clicking on the “X” to close the program does not stop the program on Windows CE/Pocket PC devices.

2. Exit the “Settings” screen and go to the Home screen with application icons.
