Skyscape's Smart Update is an application on your PC which automatically notifies you when updates are available for your registered Skyscape products or when new free products are available. You can tell Smart Update to automatically update your PDA when updates are available or to just simply notify you so you can update at your convenience.

To verify Smart Update is installed

• Look for a blue handheld device icon in the system tool tray next to your clock, typically in the lower right of your screen.
• Double click on the "My Skyscape" icon on your Desktop to open it.  Left click on the "Tools" tab (hammer/wrench) and click on Settings.
•  If it is not installed you may download it from: http://www.skyscape.com/EStore/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=975

• From the "My Skyscape" icon click on the "Tools" tab and then Settings.
• You may check the boxes for each setting depending on how you much or how little you want to control the Smart Update activity.
• If you remove the check from "Update dynamic information on every synchronization" you will only receive MedStream channel data updates when the "Check for updates" at the designated period (see below) runs.
• The default 'Check for updates (max 21)’ is every 1 day(s). You may modify the settings, but do not set it for more than 21 days.
