Skyscape Becomes Poetic

Marlborough, Mass.-based Skyscape Inc. will give its handheld software users access to InfoPOEM medical reference content from John Wiley & Sons Inc., Hoboken, N.J. The vendor will provide the system as a standalone application that offers monthly updates with all the InfoPOEM content from the previous month.

The InfoPOEM system has two applications. The Daily POEM--Patient Oriented Evidence that Matters--offers summaries of medical research from more than 100 peer-reviewed journals that are graded for validity and relevance to patient outcomes. Each POEM is reviewed by at least 15 physicians.

The second application, InfoRetriever, offers medical content searches from POEMs, decision support applications, diagnostic calculators and other evidence-based practice guidelines.
