BuzzFax becomes an organization service: one agency fax number, routed to the right groups
Buzz users could already send and receive faxes. BuzzFax now works at the organization level: the agency sends from one shared fax number, administrators decide which groups incoming faxes go to, and every fax stays in its group where the team can find it.
Marlborough, Mass. · December 13, 2023 — Skyscape today announced organization features for BuzzFax, turning secure fax in Buzz from a personal tool into an agency-wide service.
The problem it solves
Physician orders, referrals, signed plans of care and discharge paperwork still arrive by fax, addressed to the agency rather than to a person. When fax belongs to individuals, outgoing faxes carry different numbers, replies land with whoever sent the original, and an incoming order waits until someone works out whose patient it is.
What is now available
- A shared organization fax number. Staff send outgoing faxes from the agency's number, so physicians and hospitals always reply to one place.
- Incoming faxes routed to assigned groups. Administrators choose which groups receive incoming faxes, and each fax posts straight to them.
- Faxes kept in the group. Sent and received faxes stay in the group's history, so anyone on the team can see what went out and what came back.
- Any number of attachments. One fax can carry multiple files of any type.
The workflow it streamlines
A signed order that used to sit in a tray, or in one person's inbox, now reaches the group that owns the patient as soon as it arrives, and the reply goes out on the agency's number. Office and intake staff welcome it as a big time saver, and clinicians in the field see the paperwork without calling the office to ask whether it arrived.
A fax is addressed to the agency, not to one person's phone. BuzzFax now treats it that way: one number, the right group, and a record the whole team can see. Sandeep Shah, Founder and CEO, Skyscape
Availability
Organization fax features are available to Buzz agencies. Administrators set up the agency fax number and assign receiving groups.
