Medical Library app
It is the free app that holds the clinical titles you buy from Skyscape. Install it once, sign in, and download your titles. They live on your phone, so they open without a signal, and they link to each other as you read. Browse the Medical Library.
iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets. Many titles also open in a web browser through WebView. Each title’s page shows whether it is a Mobile App title or a Mobile App & Web title.
Get the free Skyscape Medical Library app from the App Store or Google Play. Open it, accept the license agreement, and sign in with your Skyscape account or create a free one. Then go to Settings, tap Add Resources, and tap the refresh arrow to see the titles you own and download them.
Install the app from Google Play. That message appears when a phone is set to block apps from outside the store, and the Google Play version installs normally. Once it is in, add your titles from Settings, then Add Resources.
One mobile device at a time. To switch, open Skyscape on the first device, go to Settings, tap Sign Out and choose Keep Resources. Then sign in on the second device with your Skyscape email and password and download your titles. You can also add, remove or change devices in the Device Manager.
Sign out of Skyscape on the old phone (Settings, then Sign Out), install the app on the new one and sign in. Go to Settings, tap Add Resources and tap Refresh. If a title is missing, sign in to My Account, open My Resources, tap the arrow next to the title and pick the new phone’s Device ID, which the app shows under Settings, then About.
Download them again from inside the app. Open Skyscape, tap Settings, then Add Resources, select your titles under Available Resources and tap Download and install. When the download finishes, open them from the Home tab.
To remove a title, open Skyscape, go to Settings and tap Remove Resources. To remove the app itself, delete it the way you delete any app on your phone. Your titles stay registered to your Skyscape account, so you can download them again later.
Open Skyscape, go to Settings and tap Update Resources, then download the titles listed under Available Resources.
Drug titles are refreshed monthly or quarterly, on the publisher’s schedule. Clinical titles follow their print editions, usually once a year or less often. Publisher corrections and app improvements arrive as updates too.
Skills Hub helps nursing students learn and practice clinical skills, and lets faculty follow their progress. It has a free app for students and an online portal where faculty group skills into modules and assign them to a class. Each skill comes with step-by-step instructions, instructional videos, links to evidence-based research and five NCLEX-style questions.
In the app, students mark skills as learned or mastered, track what they practiced in lab or clinic, and can upload a video of themselves performing a skill to get feedback from peers or faculty. See the Skills Hub Nursing Skills Module.
On your iPhone, iPad or Android phone, open skillshub.skyscape.com, choose your platform and install the app. The Nursing Skills Module is available on its product page.
MedBeats is Skyscape’s information delivery service for clinicians. It screens updates from government sources such as the FDA and CDC, and from pharmaceutical companies, filters them by medical specialty, and sends the relevant ones to your mobile device. The aim is current, reliable news about medications and the conditions they treat.
WebView
WebView is the online side of the Medical Library: your Skyscape titles in any browser, on any computer. Publishers decide which titles are offered on the web, so not every title is there. Sign in with your Skyscape account to start.
webview.skyscape.com. Sign in with the same Skyscape account you use in the app.
Sign in to WebView with the Skyscape account you bought your titles with, then activate each title for WebView. If your school bookstore package came with WebView details, create a Skyscape account if you need one, add the serial number from the package, then activate each title. Only titles listed under Browse All Titles are available on the web.
Pick one of four search scopes: All Resources searches every Skyscape title plus your library, My Library searches the titles registered to you, Current Resource searches the book you have open, and Bookmarks searches what you have saved. Everything except All Resources needs you to be signed in.
Buy it through your school’s Skyscape discount page; any title under Browse All Titles can be added that way. If you don’t have your school’s page address, ask us and we’ll send it.
Purchases & account
Buy on skyscape.com, starting from the Medical Library. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit and debit cards, and PayPal. Institutions can also pay by purchase order.
Yes. Titles bought on skyscape.com come with a 30-day money-back guarantee: contact us within 30 days of your purchase for a full refund or an exchange. Purchases made through an app store or a partner website follow that store’s own refund policy.
Yes. Buy a gift certificate on skyscape.com.
Honoraria and Skyscape Rewards certificates are added to your account automatically and show on your My Account page. For a certificate from a friend, enter the claim code at checkout, or use Redeem Gift Certificates on My Account. Type the code exactly as printed, dashes included. Checkout asks for a card for security, and charges it only if your order is more than the certificate. Anything left over stays in your account balance.
Check these first: discounts can’t be combined, can’t be applied to past purchases, and don’t apply to Constellations, Specialty Suites or gift certificates. After you enter a code, refresh your cart so the discount shows.
You don’t need one. Titles bought on skyscape.com are registered to your Skyscape account, and serial numbers are no longer shown. Open the app, go to Settings, then Add Resources, and your titles are listed ready to install. Tap refresh if the list looks out of date.
Check your spam or junk folder first; the receipt is sent the moment the order completes. You can also see it online: sign in to My Account, open Order History and choose View Receipt. Your titles are already on your account, so open the app, go to Settings, then Add Resources, and tap refresh.
Choose My Account at the top of skyscape.com, or go straight to My Account, and sign in with your email and password. To change your email, open Personal Information, choose to change your email address, enter the new one twice and save. Then sign out of the app and sign back in with the new address.
Tap Forgot Password on the app’s Welcome screen, or reset it on skyscape.com.
Sign in to My Account, open Personal Information, choose Change Email Preferences, select Unsubscribe and save.
