BuzzPhone connects secure care conversations to landlines and mobiles, under the agency's caller ID
BuzzPhone lets clinicians call patients, families, pharmacies and physician offices on any landline or mobile from inside Buzz, and take their calls back. Calls carry the agency's caller ID, so the people who answer see a name they recognize, and no clinician hands out a personal number.
Marlborough, Mass. · February 4, 2020 — Skyscape today announced BuzzPhone, secure telephony inside Buzz that connects the care team's conversation to the landlines and mobiles the rest of the world still answers.
The problem it solves
Much of home-based care still runs on the telephone. The patient's daughter has a landline. The pharmacy, the physician's office and the DME supplier answer the phone, not an app. So clinicians call from their personal cell, and their private number ends up in dozens of patient files, voicemails and call logs long after they leave the agency.
What is now available
- Calls out to any landline or mobile. Clinicians place calls from Buzz to people who have never installed it.
- The agency's caller ID on every call. Calls carry the agency's name and number, so patients, families and partners see who is calling and pick up.
- A dedicated number for every clinician. Each clinician can have their own Buzz number with a caller ID they set, so patients see a name they recognize, and the number stays with the agency when a clinician leaves.
- Calls back in. Patients, families and partners can return the call, and it reaches the clinician in Buzz.
- One app for the whole conversation. Calls sit alongside secure messages and files, so the call is part of the patient's care coordination, not a separate channel.
The workflow it streamlines
A nurse between visits can return a family's call, confirm an order with a physician's office and update the care team in the same place. Intake and scheduling staff welcome it as a big time saver, because callbacks reach the right person the first time.
Home care still happens on the phone, and it should not cost a nurse her privacy. BuzzPhone keeps every call in the same secure place as the rest of the patient's care. Sandeep Shah, Founder and CEO, Skyscape
