Q: How do I delete or remove unused product icons from Programs or Start Menu on the Pocket PC?
A: Tried to delete the product but still icon is present. 

RESOLUTION: Please uninstall the Skyscape product from your WinCE (Pocket PC) using the instructions below:
Uninstall Product from Pocket PC

  1. Perform a soft reset on your device
  2. On your Pocket PC Go to Start | Settings | System | Remove
    • Remove Skyscape 'product name' data
    • Remove Skyscape 'product name' reader. If you are unable to delete all files by the "remove programs" function, please continue with step 3 to delete the files using File Explorer on the Pocket PC.
  3. On your Pocket PC Go to Start | Programs | File Explorer | My Device follow steps below according where you installed the product.
  4. MAIN MEMORY INSTALL -Follow these steps 
    • Tap on Program files
    • Tap on Skyscape folder
    • Tap on Product Name folder and hold, choose Delete from the menu that appears.
  5. If you have a memory card then also check the steps for Storage card.
    MEMORY / STORAGE CARD INSTALL - Follow these steps
    • Tap on SD Card or Storage Card or CF card, depending on media type
    • Tap on Skyscape 'Product Name' Data folder and hold, choose Delete from the menu that appears.
    • Tap on Skyscape 'Product Name' Reader folder and hold, choose Delete from the menu that appears.
  6. Close out of File Explorer
Removing Skyscape product icon:

If the shortcut for the Skyscape product is in your Start menu (Start Menu is the menu you get when you click on Start)

  1. Go to  Start | Settings |Personal
  2. Tap on Menus
  3. Remove the check from the program Icon that is not working.

If it is located in Start | Program  list then to remove program icon do the following:

  1. On the pocket pc: Go To Start | Programs | File Explorer
  2. Make sure you are on My Device
  3. Tap on the Windows Folder
  4. Tap on the Start Menu Folder
  5. Tap on the Programs folder
  6. Locate the product  icon
    • Tap on icon and if it opens the product then it is a valid program Icon.
    • If you see more than one then tap on it if it gives you an error then Tap on icon and choose delete.
  7. Tap X in upper right corner.
  8. Verify duplicate icon is no longer in Start | Programs.
  9. Repeat for all products with duplicate/no program associated icons.
