My experience with various Skyscape products

As you know I have been using a number of your products for the past 3 years, including DrDrugs, A2zDrugs, EBCC, EBD, 5MCC, OCM, and ABCLabData. In a word, I am a big fan of your products! I find uses for your products in all my 3 spheres, as a clinician, teacher, and researcher.

I see patients a number of times each week, and I would not now walk into a clinic without your products loaded on my PDA! Products such as DrDrugs, A2zDrugs and iFacts are invaluable. Before I had these products, it would take all too long to lookup drug questions in the PDR – frustrating, especially in a busy clinic and when I’m usually behind. A typical drug lookup in DrDrugs takes a few seconds, and I appreciate the concise, indexed format of the package. When iFacts 1st came out I became a believer overnight. It was, and still is innovative, and I think it has saved me and my patients several times from needless possibly harmful drug interactions.

I am a professor in my school and I teach medical students, residents, and practicing physicians regularly throughout a typical week. I teach many workshops and seminars on evidence-based practice and learners are always drawn to your packages. When I first started using Skyscape software, I would start a precepting session with residents, and within 15 minutes several were asking to borrow my PDA to use your software. They simply love it! And it consistently beats spending time looking items up in their paper manuals.

I am a research director and am involved in a number of primary care research products, plus I teach research skills at my university. Part of this training includes looking up the latest evidence and developments and Skyscape has helped over these years. In particular, I am interested in how these handy packages affect provider behavior. Our group is now looking into a number of possible research projects with that question in mind; for we believe it does change behavior in a positive fashion.
